Guwahati: As many as 80 people have been detected with COVID19 positive in a village at Teok circle under Jorhat district up to now 24 hours.
At a time when the Assam Government is making an attempt its best to contain the lethal COVID 19, there was a rampant rise in COVID cases in the Jorhat district.
Amid the rising cases in COVID19, the native administration has also declared 8 containment zones under the Teok circle up to now one week.
So far, 580 people are been reportedly infected with COVID19 in Teok, informed sources.
Meantime, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday has also claimed that aside from districts namely Jorhat, Golaghat, Lakhimpur, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, Covid cases in other districts are nearly under keep an eye on.
CM Sarma also mentioned that the new SOP will be issued by Monday, emphasizing on the COVID situation in districts where COVID cases are more in number.
The recovery rate in the state now stands nearly to 95% which is a great signal, said the chief minister.
Meantime, Assam witnessed a decline in the COVID positivity rate in the final 24 hours.
As on Sunday, the positivity rate stands at 2.25% with 1,213 new COVID cases.
A complete of 20 patients succumbed to COVID today.
The complete numbers of active cases are 22,155.
