Bihar election 2020 LIVE updates: Polling for Bihar Vidhan Sabha elections is underway in 71 constituencies in Phase-I of Bihar Meeting elections 2020 today. 33.10% voter turnout used to be recorded till 1 pm. The main contest is between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led ruling coalition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the ‘mahagathbandhan’ in this phase of bihar polls. Voters will be capable to exercise their franchise till 6 pm. The final hour has been set aside for many who have contracted coronavirus or who are in quarantine. Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to people to follow all coronavirus norms while going to cast their votes.

RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav urged people to vote for a better future, education, health, jobs and development for Bihar.

The elections for the 243 Meeting seats in Bihar are being held in three phases, and the counting of votes will be done on November 10.
