Hike in revenue collection by APDCL; CM Sarma hails Minister Bimal Bora

Guwahati: The state power branch under the leadership of Power minister Bimal Bora witnessed an increase in revenue collection & billing efficiency of Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) in just one month.

Appreciating the move, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hailed power minister Bimal Bora and APDCL for its immediate actions, including the collection of electricity dues.

CM Sarma also shared the same in a tweet.

Kudos to @apdclsocial, guided by Power Min Sri @BimalBorahbjp, for its immediate actions, including collection of electricity dues. Request cooperation of all concerned,” said CM Sarma in the tweet.

It is to be famous that the billing efficiency has been improved to 93% till June 21, whereas, revenue collection efficiency has improved to 98% in June from 70.46% in the month of May.

APDCL has collected revenue of Rs 501 crore in the final month of June.

Furthermore, the chief minister appealed the entire people in the state for cooperation.
