Indian Premier League 2020: Rohit Sharma Hails Players’ ”Sheer Brilliance” As Reason In the back of Mumbai Indians’ Success

Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma said the reason at the back of his team’s success in this season of Indian Premier League (IPL) is the players’ tough work and the sheer brilliance that they showed during the tournament. Mumbai will be facing Delhi Capitals (DC) in the last of the tournament on November 10 as they look to clinch their fifth IPL title.

Rohit, right through the pre-match press convention on Monday, was once asked how he would have gone approximately whether he was once the captain of the contrary team, facing Mumbai Indians.

“Firstly, it is never going to happen. I am never going to go in the opposition’s camp and captain the other team against Mumbai Indians. But taking a look at the squad, the strength, and the balance of this team, I can’t point out anything,” Rohit said.

“And it isn’t rocket science, we have worked actually tough for this balance. Numerous credit goes to the Mumbai Indians team management (and) the scouts. They have got done a great job with a majority of these guys, making certain they get that consolation and get that backing.

“In a different way it isn’t imaginable, it not imaginable to have a squad like that. We have seen each day how this game changes and each player has to change with that as polite with how the game is going.

“I think players have adapted to that actually polite because of this we stand in this position where we qualified much before the other teams. It was once good to see how we played in the tournament. It was once sheer brilliance from each and every individual, putting their hand up at different stages,” he added.

In this season of the IPL, MI played DC thrice and won all of the matches. Despite admitting his side will have a psychological virtue, Rohit stressed that “each game is a new game”.

“There will be a little bit of psychological virtue. Yes. But what we have seen with IPL is that each day is a fresh day and each game is a new game. So, you can not think too much approximately what happened previously. Of class lesson, you’ll be able to take confidence from the past but you can not dwell on that,” he said.

The last of the IPL will be played at the Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday.
