MARKETS: Sensex rises 150 pts, tests 48k; Antony Waste lists at 36% premium


Market live updates: The domestic equities began the first trading session of calendar year 2021 on a positive note on Friday and were trading with decent gaiins.

Among headline indices, the S&P BSE Sensex was once up 160 points at 47,910 levels and testing the 48,000-mark. Meantime, the Nifty50 index was once trading above the 14,000-mark. Mahindra & Mahindra rose 2 per cent and was once the top Sensex gainer, followed by TCS, State Bank of India, and ONGC (all up over half a per cent).

Shares of Antony Waste Handling Cell made a decent debut at the bourses on Friday with inventory of the solid waste management products and services company listing at Rs 430, a 36.5 per cent premium against its issue price of Rs 315 per share on the BSE. READ MORE
