Guwahati: At a time when the state is witnessing a spike in the number of children infected with COVID-19, a 21-day-old infant succembed to COVID-19 on Sunday at Dibrugarh.
Reportedly, the baby hailed from Chabua and was once admitted to Assam Medical College and Hospital for health remedy.
Then again, the gender of the baby is yet to be revealed.
The Dibrugarh district of Assam has witnessed a rise in the number of children infected with COVID-19 throughout the second one wave of the Covid pandemic.
More than 2,000 children in the 0-18 age group have tested positive for COVID-19 in Dibrugarh district since April 1.
All through the first wave final year, around 1,550 children were infected in the dictrict.
