‘That Backfired’: Mark Zuckerberg Explains ‘Lizard’ Look in Live Chat

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg after all explained the ‘lizard look’ of his that went viral, explaining that he was once trying to throw off the paparazzi in a move that backfired spectacularly. Zuckerberg was once final year snapped riding an electric surfboard while he was once on a circle of relatives vacation in Hawaii. Alternatively, that wasn’t the explanation why the tech giant chief went viral and became a subject of a large number of memes on the Internet. The picture shows Zuckerberg standing on a surfboard, but it was once his sunscreen-smeared face that caught everyone’s attention. The picture sparked a meme fest with people drawing comparisons with Joker, Queen Elizabeth I, and Mrs Doubtfire, with the most typical chorus being that Zuckerberg was once “a lizard person”.

A year later, Zuckerberg on Wednesday after all explained the explanation why he had applied such a lot sunscreen that day. In a live chat with Instagram head Adam Mosseri, titled, “So long as the world helps to keep turning, the memes retain churning”, Zuckerberg addressed the question, saying he had noticed a paparazzi who was once following them. ” I used to be like I don’t need him to recognise me. So, what I’m going to do is put tonnes of sunscreen,” he said.

Alternatively, Zuckerberg went on to confess that it was once certainly not his best-laid plan. “But that backfired. And I must have actually thought through it before doing it,” he said, laughing. He added that he was once a pale-skinned person and due to this fact used a whole lot of sunscreen to retain his skin healthy.

Zuckerberg might have tried to disguise himself as someone else, but that his efforts fell flat need no explanation. “It is all good to have a sense of humour. I am glad people could laugh approximately it. I laugh approximately it,” he said.

He also said that was once just “way too much” sunscreen. “No one must be wearing that much sunscreen.”

Zuckerberg then went on to say, “There was a lot worse approximately me. So, whether someone wants to post a sunscreen meme, it’s cool. I’m happy to give the Internet some laughs.”
