GUWAHATI: Eight students from Northeast region shine at the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains. The result used to be declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday.
The students are: Nutan Kumari Sah (97.56%) from Arunachal Pradesh, Eeshaan Dutta (99.93%) from Assam, Chetanna Rajkumari (97.32%) from Manipur, Khroo Meda Dkhar (97.76%) from Meghalaya, Andrew Zosanzuala (94.18%) from Mizoram, S Noksendi Aier (94.77%) from Nagaland, Utkarsh Srivastsva (98.86%) from Sikkim and Gaurav Malakar (99.90%) from Tripura.
Of the complete candidates, 24 students scored 100%. The results have been announced for around 8.58 lakh students who had appeared in the JEE Main exam at 660 centers across the nation. The examination used to be conducted from September 1 to 6 this year.
NTA has conducted the JEE Main 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic this year. On the other hand, around 74% of the complete registered candidates took the exam.
