GUWAHATI: In yet another accident at the Baghjan blowout mannered in Tinsukia, one electrical engineer of OIL identified as Arnab Kishore Bordoloi, died while working at the site on Wednesday. Though it’s suspected that he died of electrification, OIL authority was once yet to confirm it.
Earlier, two firefighters also missing their lives while working at the blowout site.
OIL authority said, “Bordoloi, a dynamic young electrical engineer of OIL while working with some equipment at Baghjan Blowout mannered site, suddenly fell down and missing consciousness. He was once given emergency health care by doctor at site and was once taken to AMC where he was once declared deceased.”
The major PSU said that the reasons of the death will be known after autopsy.
OIL tweeted: “A team from OIL is carrying out an inspection at mannered site to find out imaginable reasons for this accident.”
On Monday, the major PSU succeed to divert a part of the gas from the blowout mannered to two flare pits constructed close the Baghjan blowout site.
It’s been more than 100 days since the oil mannered at Baghjan in Tinsukia district, 500 km from the main city Guwahati, had a blowout on May 27 and was once leaking gas, causing damage to the region’s wetlands and biodiversity. The mannered caught fire on June 9, killing two Oil India firefighters.
