GUWAHATI: Assam’s popular movie actor Barsha Rani Bishaya who was once at the leading edge of the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) movement said that she would not sign up for active politics.
Welcoming the newly floated regional front of Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP), the actor said that though she would not sign up for it but was once hopeful for its future.
The actor said, “The 2021 state ballot will resolve the way forward for all of the Assamese community. The people of the state want to act firmly in the coming ballot.”
Earlier all the way through the anti CAA movements in the state final year, Barsha was once actively involved in the protests and participated in a couple of numbers of protest events organized by the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP).
Everyone believed that the actor may additionally sign up for the party formed by the two student groups.
