GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on Saturday said that the Ministry of Railways has made up our minds to function 40 pairs of extra special trains out of which four pairs will be operated under the NFR.
The NFR said, “The Ministry of Railways has made up our minds to function 40 pairs of extra special trains on particular routes from September 12. These will be fully reserved trains. These trains will be along with the special trains that are already under operation. Composition and routes of these trains will be as per existing steady trains. On the other hand, stoppage will be restricted in view of the suggestions of more than a few state governments.”
According to the NFR, four pairs of special trains will start operations as per the schedule provided by the Ministry of railways.
“Booking of tickets will commence from September 10. On the other hand, passengers have to observe all COVID related safety protocols of the respective state governments,” the NFR said.
Four pairs of the special trains to be operated under the NFR are – 02509 Bengaluru – Guwahati Express to be operated on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 02510 Guwahati – Bengaluru Express to be operated on Monday, Tuesday and Sunday. 05933 Dibrugarh – Amritsar express to be operated on Tuesday. 05934 Amritsar –Dibrugarh Express to be operated on Friday. 05626 Agartala – Deoghar Express to be operated on Sunday. 05625 Deoghar – Agartala Express to be operated on Monday. 05909 Dibrugarh – Lalgarh express to be operated day-to-day. 05910 Lalgarh – Dibrugarh Express to be operated day-to-day.
