Guwahati: In a shocking incident, an eight months pregnant woman from Kashung village in Manipur’s Ukhrul district succumbed to COVID-19 at New Delhi’s LNJP hospital on Sunday.
The story of one 32-year old Tuithung Wungreichon turns out to be very shocking and devastating, as the members of the family of the dead could not find a place for her burial amidst the ongoing lockdown in the capital city.
The members of the family immediately reached out to the Special Commissioner of police, New Delhi, Robin Hibu for help. Accordingly, the senior police extended his helping hand with a view to give you the dead with a proper Christian burial in New Delhi.
As per reports, Tuithung Wungreichon used to be residing at Mohammad Puri area in New Delhi, and had developed cough and fever on April 21 and due to this fact tested positive for COVID-19.
Her health condition further deteriorated over the following couple of days. As per members of the family of the dead, she used to be suffering from anaemia and sepsis at the time of death. She kicked the bucket because of a massive cardiac arrest.
Meantime, thanking the special commissioner of Police, New Delhi, Robin Hibu, some of the members of the family of the dead woman said, “Today, at this hour of grief, my circle of relatives and I take this time to thank you Sir Robin Hibu for your invaluable help and strengthen. At the young age of 32, carrying an unborn child of 8 months, it has been an inconceivable heartbreak and an irreplaceable gaping gap for the families to lose Tuithung Wungreichon. She all the time smiled the widest and laughed the hardest, and that’s how every of us will all the time keep in mind her.”
“It brings some solace to our families and friends that she received a decent Christian burial, and that we will be able to visit when these trying times are over. We cannot thank you enough for making things happen in one of these smooth manner,” added the circle of relatives member.
